Touched for a Lifetime

My trip to Haiti was an awesome trip and very different than any of the other mission trips I have gone on. The Haitian children (and even the adults) were so loving and affectionate to each of us. The team was amazing. Traveling with a group of 8 from EastPointe Bible Church in Peru, Indiana, we felt so welcomed into the NVM family. Pastor Esperandieu Pierre is an incredible man of God, on fire with a mission to bring God's word to the people of Haiti. He is a wonderful example of Christ-likeness. The GAIN Canada team and GAIN USA team worked seamlessly with NVM to deliver people, supplies, and medicines to the many I.D.P. camps. A big thank you from our team to "Pretty" Marvin, Cindy, Ron and Peter. We also felt so welcomed by Jay & Amy Shultz as well as Chris, Laura, Jan, Stephanie, and Kristen; People we came to love and appreciate for their skills and gifts as well. In Chambrum and at N.C.A., God touched our lives by putting a child’s hand in ours which warmed our hearts. Children working and laughing side by side with us despite all the hardships they have endured. The joy of watching the children go back for their first day of school since the earthquake was truly amazing. I am already looking forward to my next trip!
